New IPO2! - Bastille De Twin Oaks BH WH IPO2

Postby Robert W Voss » Sat May 30, 2009 11:09 am

Just a note to announce we acheived IPO2 yesterday (05.29.09) and we're running an AD on Monday (06.01.09). We trialed at O.G.Bierstadt, a UScA club here in Wisconsin. I wasn't sure if we'd keep it all together as my helper/trainer broke his leg working a Ring dog just two weeks prior to the trial. Obviously we didn't get any bitework in before stepping on the field. Tracking was in alfalfa - thick with dandelion seed-heads. A few sneezes later we came out with a 94. Obedience score woulda-coulda-shoulda been better, but the vorous platz at a distance remains to be a bother for us. We checked out with a 90. Protection was a blur, but Eli tried to swallow the sleeve on each grip, outed beautifully, and guarded intently and correctly on a helper he had seen only twice in the last year and a half. Control for the back transport was tough, as was getting down the field for the long bite. All in all, we managed a 96 (94-90-96=280) and impressed a GSD oriented judge and the crowd including several K9 Handlers/Officers who we spectating. I would like to thank all who have helped in preparation and who continue to support us in our endeavors...you know who you are!

We passed the AD yesterday morning at the East Wisconsin Working Boxer Klub trial...along with a GSD and three Boxers.
