There is still time to order T shirts and Hoodies and to sponsor a trophy!

You misspelled Association and alfalfa is spelled alfalfa not alpha-alpha. I also have a question, since it is an IPO National Championship, wouldn't you want to use IPO dumbbells and not old SchH dumbbells?

I'm not doing the web site.... I will let them know about the spelling. I've mentioned the alpha alpha already.

As far as dumbbells according to the current SchH rules compared to next years IPO rules the size dimensions are the same with the importance being on the weight.

But this is not a SchH event it is a National IPO Championship so why not use a new set of the approved IPO dumbbells? Just a thought.

The Nationals are wrapped up for another year. It was good to see so many friends and familar faces, and also some new folks who made the trip to compete, help out, and spectate. There were many people who stepped forward to lend a hand to make this all come together and that's one aspect of our organization that is extraordinary. I received many comments about how welcoming we are and how much camaraderie there was at the event.

The tracking fields were beautiful, but scores were hampered somewhat by the near gale force winds on Friday. Saturday was windy and cool (OK, it was cold) but the dogs didn't seem to mind. Sunday was a picture-perfect Midwest fall day. The event was on a field with permanent blinds and I can see why - anything else would blow down and be in the next county!

Congratulations to all the competitors. Thanks to the helpers, track layers, tracking coordinators, field help, and the crew of people it takes to make an event like this happen. Special thanks to Michael Caputo and Hari Arcon for judging. And my gratitude to the members of Machtig Strom who went above and beyond to make sure that everything came together.

Joe Brockington provided me with a link to some of the highlights, and here it is - enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hl3d3-ZEilo
