Mike Baker was able to speak with one of the team members and here is the information that he was given on the draw.

Competitor Tracking Obed. Prot
Mike Morgan 2:00 Sat. 1:00 Sun 9:00 Sun
Marina Shukh 11:30 Fri 9:30 Sat 2:00 Sat
Carrie Cole 8:00 Fri 4:30 Sat 10:15 Sat
Greg Doud 11:30 Fri 9:30 Sat 2:00 Sat

these time are obviously approximations.......interesting to see that Carrie and Ivan have protection before obedience.

I see that Mario and Yagus went 98-97 in B and C. Most tracking scores are much lower than Ivan's and Marina's. The race is on!

The American team is doing great! Ivan needs a 96 (if my calculations are correct) to win it all. Mario/Yagus (Belg) finished with a 286. Marina's score looks like it will get her deep into the top ten finishers. Wow!

BALABANOV IVAN QUENNY OT VITOSHA 97 ? 94
MORGAN MIKE BACCHUS VOM DRACHENHERZ
SHUKH MARINA L'SIMBA DU LOUPS DU SOLEIL 97 88 95 280

DOUD GRED L'FLAIR OT VITOSHA 89 92 91 272

COLE CARI NYKKO OT VITOSHA 95 ? 85

Congrats to Ivan (world champion!) and Marina for the top ten placements and the other for success on the best performing American team of all time.

Did anyone notice that the Fins won the whole trial? And the Belgians were completely out of the mix.

Great progress for the US team. With the American dog/handler teams out there, I think this trend will continue.

The accomplishment of the Finn's is particularly impressive given the fact that last year's winner, Artul, was injured in this event and did not finish.

Additionally, Kennel McBerger, a Finnish kennel I have cited as an example of responsible breeding practices had dogs place 2, 13, and 19.

But are those dog’s pedigrees primarily comprised of dogs from the types of breeders you dislike?
